Aggrieved workers of Society Against Prostitution and Child Labour in Nigeria, SAP-CLN, a Non Governmental Organisation, NGO, ran by Kingsley Mark and Blessing Onuh, said to be children of former Senate President, David Mark, on Friday protested over the non-payment of their salary and allowances. The management, however, said it is making efforts to clear the arrears and will soon commence payment.
Workers of SAP-CLN, which is registered under the Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA, embarked on the protest in Abuja so as to register their displeasure over being owned salary and allowances for five months.
The irate workers, who claimed to have no leader, barricaded Djibouti street in Wuse 2, where their office is situated, with the trunk of trees and two buses on which were placards conveying this messages: “Senator David Mark tell your children, Kingsley Mark and Blessing Onuh to pay us our allowances,” “Coordinator, Mrs Grace Adogwu we are tired of your lies, please pay us our money.”
