Operatives of the Department of State Services on Tuesday morning effected the arrest of a former National Security Adviser, retired Colonel Sambo Dasuki.
Dasuki had been placed under house arrest in his Abuja home since November 4, 2015 by the DSS.
This was a day after a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja granted him leave to travel abroad for medical treatment.
The court gave him three weeks for the trip.
He was expected to return November 26, 2015.
However, the DSS said Dasuki had been indicted in another investigation involving the purchase of arms during the regime of former President Goodluck Jonathan when he served as NSA.
Already, a former Minister of State for Finance, Bashir Yuguda, has been arrested in connection with the arms purchase investigation
Twenty other persons were also said to have been arrested over the issue.
