Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari mourns Inuwa Wada, Ruler of the Tiv People

President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with the families of the Paramount Ruler of Tiv land, Alfred Akawe Torkula and a Minister of Defence in the First Republic, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Wada.



Buhari in separate condolences to the people and government of Benue and Kano States urged them to take solace in the knowledge that the deceased contributed significantly to the development of not only their states but the country while they were alive.

While extoling the virtues of the Fourth Tor Tiv as a great advocate of peace in the statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, Buhari urged the Tiv nation to maintain the existing peace during and after the succession process.
